--"The Board determined that the Respondent violated quality medical and documentation standards for reasons, including, but not limited to: Failing to verify and document patients' prior care to support their complaints of chronic pain by obtaining prior medical records before prescribing high-dose narcotics and benzodiazepines; Failing to evaluate and treat the specific causes of patients' pain; Failing to recognize obvious red flags patients presented, i.e., out-of-state patients traveling long distances to Maryland for pain treatment and making cash payment only; Failing to address or document addressing patients' urine drug screen results that were positive for illicit drugs or were inconsistent with medications prescribed."
