Maryland State Police ID body of Westminster man

WESTMINSTER, Md. - Maryland State Police have identified 27-year-old Westminster resident Joshua White as the man found dead in a wooded area of Carroll County, according to a release from Maryland State Police.

White's family reported him missing to the Carroll County Sheriff's Office on Sept. 2.

The cause and manner of death have not been determined. There were no obvious signs of foul play. An autopsy was performed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

White, who resided in the 300 block of Kirkhoff Road in Westminster, was found in the wooded area behind his home around 10 a.m. Thursday.

"When found, White was dressed in a tee shirt and shorts," the release states."He was not wearing shoes at the time.  There was no identification found in White's clothing or in the immediate area where he was found."
