Six cars were vandalized overnight in Columbia with white spray paint. It happened from Feb. 20 to 21 on the 9600 block of Whiteacre Road.

Some cars had graffiti on them, and one of them even had a punctured tire.

"They've not been breaking into the cars or stealing anything, they've been spray painting various messages," said Sherry Llewellyn, Spokeswoman for Howard County Police. "Some of them are obscenities, some of them are random nonsense, some are the word 'Trump.' A series of all different things that seem to have no consistency, no rhyme or reason and no similarity among the victims."

Now Howard County Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the person(s) who did it. Police are offering a $500 reward for information that leads up to an arrest.

In the meantime, police are encouraging residents to report suspicious people.

"It might be nothing but you never know when you might help us close a case," Llewellyn said.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call police at 410-313-3700 or email HCPDcrimetips@howardcountymd.gov.
