ABINGDON, Md. - Two men are facing jail time after Harford County Sheriff's deputies charged them with stealing air conditioners, heat pumps and kitchen equipment from several places.
According to the Harford County Sheriff's Office, deputies arrested Donald Fruhling and William Edmonds on Thursday in connection with several robberies along Pulaski Highway in mid-November.
Deputies say the pair robbed four businesses in the 500 and 700 blocks of Pulaski Highway, and in the 4000 block of Philadelphia Road in Abingdon between Nov. 18-22. They took heating and air conditioning units and a commercial grade kitchen vent fan. The total cost of the equipment they took was $12,000.
Deputies say the pair is also connected to two robberies on Towne Center Drive in Joppa. A sheriff's department spokesperson said Fruhling and Edmonds took two exterior air conditioning units from homes in the area, but deputies have not yet been able to determine who owns the vacant homes.
According to a release issued by the sheriff's office, the two men took the stolen items to recycling centers and scrap yards to sell the equipment for cash.
Both men were arrested without incident and are being held on bond. Edmunds is also wanted for a burglary in Baltimore County under the name Williams Evans.
