Police investigate 23 cases of vehicle vandalism in Howard County

Howard County Police are investigating several cases of vehicle vandalism that took place last week.

According to police, the acts of vandalism appear to be random and don't target specific people or groups of people.

Twenty-three reports of vandalism were received throughout the area. 

On Wednesday Feb. 15, two cars at the same residence in the 7200 block of Procopio Circle in Columbia were vandalized. One car was spray-painted with "Trump," while the other was spray-painted with illegible markings.   

That same night, three cars in a parking lot on the 5500 block of Waterloo Road in Ellicott City were spray-painted and/or had tires slashed. One vehicle was painted with the word “Trump.”

On Thursday Feb. 16, police received reports from 15 victims that profanity had been spray-painted on their cars in a parking lot in the 9900 block of Guilford Road in Jessup.

Residents in Columbia also reported that their cars had been vandalized in the 8600 block of Hayshed Lane and the 9300 block of Guilford Road.

These incidents are currently under investigation and police are offering a reward up to $500 for information.
