Howard County Executive warning residents about paving scheme

ELLICOTT CITY, Md. - People living in Howard County are getting a warning from County Executive Ken Ulman, about a driveway paving scheme.

County officials say they've received reports of unlicensed contractors, going door to door, selling expensive driveway paving services.

The Maryland Home Improvement Commission is investigating the complaints.

To verify a home improvement contractor's license, consumers can call the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation at 410-230-6309, or check out their website at www.dllr.maryland.gov/license/.
