Facebook tip helps capture theft suspects

COLUMBIA, Md. (WMAR) -  

Two people have been charged with multiple counts of theft following a tip that police received on their Facebook page. 
 
Police say they received a tip on the Howard County Police Department's Facebook page that led them to the identification of the suspects after their pictures were posted to that page. 
 
Stephanie Nicole Stuart, 25, and Craig Kenneth England, 40, were charged in connection with an investigation involving two credit cards which had been stole on February 8 from an employee's purse in the Johns Hopkins Medical Building in Columbia. 
 
The investigation revealed both cards were later used at various stores in Columbia and Ellicott City including, Target, Kohl's, Lowe's, Office Depot, Game Stop and Advance Auto Parts. 
 
Surveillance video at several locations captured the couple responsible who were later identified as Stuart and England. 
 
Stuart was charged with eight counts of theft, one count of conspiracy to commit theft and six counts of credit card fraud. 
 
England was charged with eight counts of theft, one count of conspiracy to commit theft and four counts of credit card fraud.
