Person found shot inside Joppa home dies overnight

JOPPPA, Md. - A person found shot inside a Harford County home died shortly after midnight.

Sheriff's deputies were called to the home in the 400 block of Gilmor Road in Joppa just before 10 Tuesday night.  They found the victim lying on the living room floor suffering from a gun shot wound.

Upon further investigation from the Harford County Sheriff's office, the victim died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Medics from the Joppa Magnolia Fire company treated the victim and initially transported them to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center.  The victim was later transferred to the Shock Trauma Center where they died shortly after midnight.
