Robber steals cash, cigarettes from 7-11

EDGEWOOD, Md. -  

An armed robber in Harford County really needed a smoke Saturday night.

The man who held up an Edgewood 7-11 Saturday morning with a knife, stole an undisclosed amount of money and an assortment of cigarettes from the convenience store.

A clerk told police the man entered the store located at 1020 Gateway Road  around 4:45 a.m. He brandished a knife grabbed the money and cigarettes and took off toward Gateway Road.

The suspect was described as approximately 5'9" to 6' tall, medium build, 220-250 pounds with light brown hair. Police said he had facial hair, possibly a goatee, and was wearing a light gray zippered hoodie, a black or blue baseball cap with a flat brim, blue jeans and black sneakers.
