More than two months after a deadly shooting at a motel in Howard County, police have raised the reward to $10,000 in hopes of bringing in the suspect.

Kenneth Frizzell Diggs Jr. is wanted in the deadly July 2 shooting of Amanda Duer at the Turf Motel in Laurel, according to Howard County Police.

An arrest warrant has been issued for 47-year-old Diggs. He's charged with murder, attempted murder and a series of related charges in connection with the shooting.

When police arrived at the motel, they found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Amanda Duer, 29, of La Plata, was pronounced dead at the hospital. Derick Henderson, 33, of Washington, D.C., was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center for treatment of a gunshot wound to the leg.

Henderson was later released from the hospital.

Police believe Diggs and the victims knew each other and were involved in some kind of dispute. Witnesses told police Diggs went to the doorway of the victims' motel room and allegedly fired a gun at them.

Anyone with information about where Diggs may be is asked to call 410-313-STOP or email HCPDcrimetips@howardcountymd.gov.
