The Bel Air Police Department is investigating an alleged assault near Bel Air High School.
A teen girl said that a white man in his 30s held her at gunpoint in the area of Homestead Street, close to Bel Air High School.
Police said the incident was reported at 3 p.m. Tuesday and a school resource officer arrived at the scene of the incident within minutes. The school resource officer did not see a suspect fleeing the area. The victim was also unable to provide a direction of travel for the suspect.
Police established a perimeter and surrounding schools were placed on lock down for a brief time while a security check was performed. The investigation is ongoing. The victim was not harmed.
