Maryland State Police have released the identity of the trooper seriously injured along with the other drivers involved in the I-95 crash in Howard County.
State police say 27-year-old Trooper Tristan Phillip was assigned last Thursday to patrol the Waterloo Barrack and during his schedule patrol, he was dispatched to assist a family who's vehicle was disabled on I-95 headed southbound.

Shortly after the incident State police identified, Rodney Irons Jr., 31, of Silver Spring as the driver that allegedly hit Phillips.
During the initial investigation, troopers at the scene found that Irons was driving without a license.
Phillip served for the past two years as a member of the Maryland State Police and graduated from Morgan State University In 2012.
While attending Morgan State from 2006 through 2012, Phillip studied Sociology.
Over the past few days, many friends and family began posting on social media about the unfortunate events that left Phillip seriously injured.
The Delmarva Supports Law Enforcement took to social media over the weekend to give an update on Trooper Phillips condition:
"Update.....we are very glad to have been advised that this officer is now resting at home. Hoping for a quick recovery!
Sending prayers for Maryland State Trooper Tristen Phillip".
The Maryland State Police crash team are investigating the incident and charges remain pending in the investigation.
