Officials in Harford County are looking for the suspect behind the shooting death of a Churchville man on Monday morning.

According to officials, officers were called to the 1500 block of Mitchell Lane in Aberdeen, MD just before 3:30 AM for reports of a cardiac arrest. Once on scene, deputies found a man, later identified as 43-year-old Gary Gibson. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Neighbor Eric Batson says he didn't know the victim, but saw his body lying in a gravel driveway across the street.

"You see things on TV, in the movies. It's just real," Batson said. "It's just too real."

Chelsea Cormack was staying across the street, but didn't find out until later what was going on.

"I was right in that house," she said pointing to a house nearby, "and I heard not a thing."

Gibson was reportedly taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, where an autopsy determined he died from a gunshot wound. Officials are now investigating this case as a homicide.

Harford County Sheriff's Deputies spent hours canvassing the quiet neighborhood for leads, but are still looking for help from the public. Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call Detective Donald Kramer at 410-879-7929. The investigation is ongoing.
