A 22-year-old Harford County man will spend the rest of his life in prison for the death of 16-year-old Thomas Burdsall, Jr.
Terrence Darreyll Wanzer was found guilty by a jury on November 28, 2012. Today, a judge listened to the emotional statements of the victim's mother, Jennifer Burdsall, as she described the impact of her son's murder on her and her family, before the life sentence was imposed.
Wanzer was found guilty of stabbing Burdsall in the heart at the Burdsall home after the two began an argument on January 8, 2011.
Aberdeen Police arrived to the home to find Mrs. Burdsall giving CPR to her son, who had been stabbed. He died a short time later at the hospital.
Witnesses that identified Wanzer as the attacker testified in the three day November trial.
