A man is given a life sentence with all but 50 years suspended for killing a mother of two in 2016.

Andrew Lee, 23, plead guilty to murder in May 2017 for the death of Ericka Satterfield, 27.

In July of 2016, Satterfield was walking along Old Post Road in Aberdeen when Lee attacked her. A nearby resident found her after hearing her screams and calling 911. Satterfield was stabbed about 20 times and later died from her injuries. Lee was later arrested by Aberdeen police when he went to Harford Memorial Hospital to be treated for injuries from the attack.

Harford County State's Attorney Joe Cassilly said in a press release "there was no known connection between Lee and Satterfield, and a motive was never established."

During Lee's sentencing, Satterfield’s father, Jesse Satterfield, said "no parent should ever have to bury a child. Ericka was the light of my life. She was always smiling and had love in her heart."

Satterfield's children were 6 months and 7 years old when she was killed. Jesse Satterfield said that the family was making sure that her children are being raised the way that she would have wanted.
