Man charged after running over resident in Aberdeen

Aberdeen Police Officers are investigating and incident in which a man struck a resident with his car. 

Units were called to the 600 block of Walker Street for a reported motor vehicle collision around 4:57 p.m.

Police say investigations revealed 38-year-old George Wagner the third struck a 41-yesr-old resident with his vehicle.

Wagner and his brother came to the residence of the victim to confront him about a dispute between Wagner’s nephew and the victim’s son.

Police say after a verbal argument, Wagner got into his Honda Pilot and began driving towards the victim.

Wagner proceeded to drive over the curb and onto the sidewalk where he struck the victim.

Police say Wagner and his brother fled the scene after.

Paramedics responded to the scene but the victim refused treatment.

The victim sustained multiple abrasions to his right hand and an injury to his right foot.

After refusing to come to the police department for an interview, a warrant was issued for Wagner’s arrest.
Police say Wagner turned himself in later that day.

Wagner is charged with Attempted 2nd degree Murder, Assault 1st degree, Assault 2nd degree, and Reckless Endangerment.
