An armed robbery in Edgewood early Tuesday morning led to a minor car accident and altercation between the suspect and the victim, the Harford County Sheriff's office said.

Sheriff's deputies are seeking the woman suspected in the robbery of a cab driver around 3:17 a.m. in the parking lot of a business in the 500 block of Edgewood Road.

The woman took the cab from the 2000 block of Morgan Street to the 1700 block of Meadowood Drive before asking to go to the business on Edgewood Road. She entered the business, then re-entered the cab and put an object to the driver's back, demanding money.

The driver accelerated, returned to the parking lot, hit an ice machine in front of the building and then got into a fight with the woman.

She left with a small amount of loose change.

Sheriff's deputies are looking for a black woman, about 5'5, with a dark complexion and a thin build. She was soft spoken and was wearing a black or charcoal colored hooded sweatshirt.
