BEL AIR, Md. - An aggressive investigation and an anonymous tip have lead to the arrests of two people involved in two pharmacy robberies.
The robberies happened on December 15, 2010 and April 6, 2011 at the CVS pharmacy located in the 1200 block of Churchville Road.
In both cases a masked suspect entered the pharmacy and stole large quantities of prescription medications after pointing a handgun at the pharmacist.
There were no injuries reported at either robbery.
After the April 6 robbery, Maryland State Police Bel Air Barrack created and distributed hundreds of Metro Crime Stoppers fliers featuring the images of the two suspects.
On April 11, those fliers paid off, and an anonymous tip identified two possible suspects.
On Tuesday, April 12, investigators from the Maryland State Police and the Harford County Sheriff's Office executed simultaneous warrants in the 4200 block of Madonna Road in Jarrettsville and the 800 block of Lancaster Drive in Bel Air.
During the searches, an Airsoft pistol and most of the prescription medications stolen during the robbery was recovered.
Brandon Lee Rutledge, 25, was taken into custody at the Jarresttsville residence.
David Lawrence Eichelberger III, 19, was taken into custody at the Bel Air address.
Both face criminal charges related in the April 6 robbery, and charges are pending against Rutledge for the December 15, robbery.
