NJ man's death in OC Saturday morning called "suspicious" by police

OCEAN CITY - A 38-year-old New Jersey man was found unconscious in a Ocean City hotel room early Saturday morning, and later died.

At roughly 3 a.m. Saturday, Ocean City Communications was informed of an unresponsive man inside a hotel room at the Princess Bayside Beach Hotel.

When first responders arrived, they found a 38-year-old man unconscious.  After initial attempts to revive the victim, they transported him to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead just before 4 a.m.

The victim has been identified as Jorge Troca, 38, of Lyndhurst, N.J.

Ocean City police are currently investigating the incident, and are categorizing it as "suspicious."

An autopsy is scheduled for Sunday, August 17 by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner of Maryland in Baltimore.
