Police have charged a Maryland man in a deadly hit-and-run in Ocean City.
Ocean City police issued a warrant for Brooks T. Batten of Snow Hill, Maryland in connection to hit-and run that killed Veronika Badurova, 21, of Slovakia. Bratten is charged with failure to remain at the scene of fatal collision, failure to render aid and negligent driving.
Police said around 3 a.m. on August 30, Badurova was riding her bicycle on Philadelphia Ave. when she was hit by an SUV driven by Bratten. Bratten fled the scene.
Badurova was taken to an area hospital where she died two days later.
