OCEAN CITY, Md. (WMAR) -
A two-year joint drug distribution investigation along the Eastern Shore has ended in an arrest.
At about 6:00 a.m. Tuesday, the Ocean City Police Department and the Worcester County Sheriff's Criminal Enforcement Team concluded their investigation with the service of multiple search warrants in Ocean City, West Ocean City and Berlin.
The target of their investigation, Jerry Lee Hurt, 37, of Edgewood, was located in Ocean City and was arrested after police found handguns, oxycodone tablets, crack cocaine and heroin in a Berlin residence.
Hurt was charged with possession of heroin, possession of cocaine, possession of oxycodone, possession with the intent to distribute heroin, possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, possession with the intent to distribute oxycodone, and 2 counts of possession of a firearm during a drug trafficking offense.
Hurt is being held on a $100,000 bond.
Hurt is also currently on parole for a previous drug distribution conviction in Harford County.
