Man arrested in Elkton stabbing death

ELKTON, Md. - Police in Elkton have arrested a man in connection with the stabbing death of 22-year-old Donald Fisher.

On June 30, at about 2:30 a.m., officers responded to the 200 block of East Main Street to find Fisher with multiple stab wounds lying on the ground unconscious.

Fisher was taken to Union Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police identified Dennis Prince Barnes as a possible suspect and believe that an argument over drugs may have led to the stabbing.

Barnes was arrested on June 30 by the New Castle County Police in the area of Bunch Boulevard in Wilmington, Delaware.

Barnes will be held in Delaware until he is extradited back to Maryland where he faces murder charges.
