A Cecil County man was arrested Tuesday after he tried to set up a sexual encounter with an undercover police officer posing as a minor.
Stephen Scott, 28, of Elkton is charged with sexual solicitation of a law enforcement officer posing as a minor. He’s facing up to 10 years in prison and up to $25,000 in fines if convicted.
On Valentine’s Day Scott communicated online with the undercover officer. He said he wanted to meet and have sex. On February 21 he traveled to an agreed upon place in Elkton where he was arrested just after 6:30 a.m.
