Police are searching for the driver involved in a hit-and-run incident that killed a dog. The dog was killed on May 30 in the 100 block of Mike Court.

According to investigators, a dark colored newer modeled car was driving recklessly in the area of Katie Lane. A homeowner made contact with the driver, telling the driver to slow down.

Police say the driver responded by backing up and then driving toward the homeowner's dog. The vehicle struck the dog and dragged it a "considerable length" before the dog was freed.

The dog died on the scene. Anyone with information is asked to contact Officer First Class Michael Walczak at 410-398-4200 or First Sergeant Andrew Tuer at 410-398-4200, extension 35.
