A group of vandals in North East, Maryland tagged the town’s downtown park early Saturday morning in apparent support of Republican presidential nominee Donald J. Trump.

North East Police said the political sign reading Go Trump Bro marked in black spray paint in the Light House Pavilion was one of several acts of vandalism done early Saturday morning.

Lt. James Just said a group of four juveniles and one adult, ranging in age from 14 to 20, tagged the train trestle, the ‘Welcome to North East’ sign and several cars along Main Street before marking the Trump sign in the park.

Just said the group was caught on surveillance video from a downtown business.

Many of the vandals were wearing Halloween style ghoul masks. But police made clear the group was not wearing clown masks, nor do they believe this was part of the ‘creepy clown’ craze.

Just said he has several leads in this case, and the suspects could face criminal summons in addition to reimbursing the town’s maintenance department for the cost of cleaning the graffiti.
