Cecil County sheriff's deputies are looking for a man investigators say is possibly attempting to lure children into his car.

Two separate incidents have happened in North East in the last week. Lt. Michael Holmes says the two cases were about a mile or so a part.

In the most recent case, parents of a three-year-old reported seeing a man in a black Lincoln sedan attempting to talk to their three-year-old.

The driver saw the parents and drove off, but not before surveillance cameras were able to capture the car.

"The man walked toward the car, my son took about two steps toward him and that's when my husband hollered my name and then it all went down from there,"Jennifer Estrada said.

It happened in front of Jennifer and her husband's auto detail shop on Rogers Road in North East.

Holmes says a 14-year-old girl waiting at a bus stop in the 800 block of East Old Philadelphia Road reported a similar incident where the driver asked "if she wanted a ride."

The girl declined.

"The description of the man that was in that car that that little girl gave made my heart sink," Estrada said.

As of now, investigators say the driver wouldn't be charged with anything, still they want to bring him in for questioning.

Children are asked to maintain a "buddy system" to keep themselves as safe as possible. The driver of the Lincoln is described as a middle aged man between his 40's and 60's that's balding with grey hair on both sides.

Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Jon Wright at  (410) 392-2111.
