ELKTON, Md. - Three men kicked in the front door to a home in Elkton and began shooting, injuring a man who took cover behind a chair, according to a release from the Elkton Police Department.
It was about 2 a.m. Wednesday when a man, not yet identified by police, knocked at the front door of a home in the 100 block of Hollingsworth Manor asking for a person that no longer lived there.
The man outside began firing bullets through the door.
The three people inside the home took cover.
Three men wearing dark jeans, hooded sweatshirts and bandanas covering their faces barged through the front door and began firing rounds throughout the house.
One of the suspects cornered a man inside who was hiding behind a chair and took aim at the hiding man.
“One of the shots struck the victim in the lower back,” the release states. “The suspects then fled the house while shooting one more time. The suspects fled the area in a white four door sedan (possible foreign make, unknown model) with unknown Delaware registration. One of the victims described the firearm as silver in color with a cylinder (revolver).”
The victim was transported to Union Hospital.
