Police searching for suspects who passed counterfeit bills for electronics purchase

Maryland State Police are searching for two suspects who used hundred of dollars in counterfeit bills at a store in southwestern Carroll County.

According to investigators, the two entered a Walmart in the 200 block of E Ridgeville Blvd. and selected merchandise from the electronics section. They paid for their purchases with $460 worth of $20 bills. The bills were later found to be counterfeit.

The suspects were in the store less than ten minutes. Police believe they could be the same suspects who used counterfeit bills at a store in Frederick. A suspect vehicle is unknown.

Police say the suspects are an adult African American man and an African American female. The suspects are believed to be in their mid to late twenties.
