A Mt. Airy daycare operator has been charged with sexually abusing two young girls who were attending the daycare, the Carroll County State’s Attorney’s office said.

Leo Ellis Parker, 73, is charged with two counts of sexual abuse of a minor and two counts of continuing course of conduct with a child.

The State’s Attorney’s Office said Parker sexually touched both girls, ages four and six, and had them touch him as well. The victims said he also showed them pornographic materials.

Parker owns and operates an in-home licensed daycare named Parker Daycare with his wife, Josephine Parker. The business has been in operation for about 40 years.

The investigation is still continuing, and the State’s Attorney’s Office said there could be additional victims.

If anyone has additional information, contact Trooper Danielle Barry at the Carroll County and Investigation Center at 410-386-3647.
