Maryland State Police arrest second bomb threat suspect

WESTMINSTER, Md. - Maryland State Police arrested a Carroll County man early Monday morning for a bomb threat at the Carroll County courthouse last month.

Police said Michael Paul Justice Sr, 36, of the 300 block of Johahn Drive is charged with arson, conspiracy to commit arson and false statement of destructive device.  Justice is currently at the Carroll County Detention Center. He faces up to 10 years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines.

On July 21 at approximately 9:30 am, a clerk at the District Court of Maryland Of Carroll County received a bomb threat  over the phone. Police said the caller told the clerk there was a bomb in the building, leading to the courthouse to be evacuated. 

Four hours later, after a thorough search of the buildings, the courthouses were considered safe and reopened.

Justice was arrested at his home without incident and transported to the Carroll County Detention Center.
