A Hampstead man was found guilty of reckless endangerment and other charges after he kicked and hit a man while he was on house arrest.

According to a testimony made at Sean Lyba's trial, the incident happened on March 21. An off-duty sergeant was driving to his house when he saw three people fighting in his neighbor's front yard.

When the sergeant went to investigate, he saw Lyba wind up in a 'soccer type' kick, and kick the victim in the face while the victim was in a choke hold, held by Lyba's father.

The testimony also said that Lyba had a dumbbell fashioned as a weapon that was used during the fight, and that Lyba was on house arrest during the fight.

Lyba was found guilty of Reckless Endangerment and Disorderly Conduct. His sentencing will be held on December 14 where Lyba could be facing up to five years or jail time.
