After a two-day bench trial Wendy Morpas, a commercial truck driver from Florida, was found guilty Wednesday for a crash that killed a Westminster baker.
Morpas has been convicted of criminally negligent homicide by motor vehicle for a crash caused on February 19, 2016. Jeannie Vogel, the owner, and proprietor of the Jeannie Bird Bakery company in Westminster was killed when Morpas ran a red light at the intersection of Route 27 and Kate Wagner Road hitting Vogel’s car with his tractor and trailer.

Sentencing for Morpas is set for September.
