A domestic dispute in Carroll County ended in the shooting of a man.

Westminster Police responded to Carroll View Avenue for a domestic disturbance at a private residence.

Upon arriving, officers located Angelo Johnson, 31, suffering from gunshot wounds in the back parking lot of the residence.

EMS units responded to the scene and the victim was transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma for treatment.

Investigations reveal Johnson lived with the suspect and his wife.

The suspect, Dustin Forson, 37, began a domestic argument with his wife when Johnson tried to intervene. Johnson was asked to leave by Forson, which he complied.

Once outside, Johnson began to flatten the Forson’s tires on his vehicle.

As a result, Forson fired two rounds from a shotgun out a second floor window striking Johnson in the back and right leg.

Johnson is currently listed in stable condition at Shock Trauma.

Forson was taken into custody to the Westminster Police Department for questioning. While being transported, Forson complained of pain from a previous condition and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Forson is being charged with first and second degree assault as well as reckless endangerment pending his release from the hospital.

Anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who have information are asked to contact Det. Todd Rutledge at the Westminster Police Department Criminal Investigations Bureau at (410) 848?4646.
