Carroll County motorist collides with deer

CARROLL COUNTY, Md: - A Carroll County motorist was flown to the hospital after colliding with a deer Monday morning.

The Carroll County Sheriff's Office reported to the incident just after 9:30 a.m. between Route 194 and Brown Road. 

 The Honda motorcycle was driven by 38 year old Timothy Cassidy from Hanover, Pa., who was traveling southbound when the deer entered the roadway in front of him.

He was unable to avoid the collision with the deer. The driver was flown to Shock Trauma by Maryland State Police helicopter "

Cassidy was conscious at the scene, although the extent of injury is not currently known. He was wearing a helmet at the time of collision, and is not considered at fault. Route 194 was closed for approximately 30 minutes.
