Carroll County Sheriff's Office Detectives are looking for a man in connection with a first-degree assault.

Sheriff's Deputies, Maryland State Police Troopers, and Sykesville Police Officers responded to an apartment on Marimich Court on Dec. 18 just after 2 a.m. for an assault report.

Upon arrival, officers found a victim suffering from several lacerations, but alert and conscious. The victim was transported by Maryland State Police Helicopter to shock trauma.

The suspect has been identified as 43-year-old Kenneth Lenard Randall. Randall is described as a black male, approximately 5 feet 2 inches and 130 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue sweat pants and a blue t-shirt. He is believed to be in possession of a white Toyota Corolla with Maryland registration GWF213.

Police believe Randall may still be in possession of a box cutter. He fled the area before police arrived and has not yet been located.

Officials say there is no known threat to the general public.

Carroll County Sheriff's Office Detectives are investigating the incident. Anyone who comes in contact with Randall or the suspect vehicle is cautioned to avoid contact and immediately call 911.
