Pregnant woman killed in Rosedale home identified

ROSEDALE, Md. - Police have released the identity of a pregnant woman found dead in her Rosedale home Friday and an autopsy confirms the death was a homicide.

Baltimore County police say 33-year-old Summer Shemida Smith's mother found her injured inside the younger woman's home in the unit block of Travis Court in Rosedale Friday.

Smith was suffering from multiple injuries, but police have not released the exact nature of her injuries or the official cause of death.

The baby was full term, but did not survive. The results of the autopsy on the unborn baby have not been released.
