Three women charged for Baltimore County bank robbery

Implied they had bomb, police say

ESSEX, Md. (WMAR) - They were not trying to save the world like Charlie's Angels, a popular television series from the late 1970's.  Instead, this trio is charged for trying to pull a page from Bonnie Parker's book.

Baltimore County Police say three women are to blame for the robbery at Baltimore County Savings Bank in Essex on Friday.

The robbery happened just after 3:00 p.m. in the 500 block of Eastern Boulevard.

Police say two women walked into the bank, handed the teller a note implying they had a bomb, got the cash, and drove away.

  • Czekiah Fludd, 24, of the 4700 block of Ivanhoe Avenue, 21218
  • Ashley Fitz, 22, of the 2600 block of Francis Street, 21217

All three women were charged with armed robbery and are being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on $350,000 bail.

Fitz was also charged for a similar bank robbery that happened at the First Mariner Bank on Thursday.

Detectives are working to determine if the women are connected to any other bank robberies in the area.
