Suspect in Randallstown shooting has died

RANDALLSTOWN, Md. - The suspect in Friday’s shooting in Randallstown that left a woman injured has died.

Baltimore County police identified the shooter as 30-year-old Taavon T Gilliam and his victim as 29-year-old Madonna Nicole Gilliam of the 9600 block of Axehead Court in Randallstown. Her current condition is unknown.

Police said officers and EMS personnel responded to a home in the 9600 block of Axehead Court in Randallstown for a report of a shooting. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered Madonna Gilliam with at least one gunshot wound to the upper body. The suspect then fled the scene.

Officers later approached a car that the suspect was in at a location in Baltimore City and discovered that he had a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. He was transported to Sinai Hospital before later dying.
