Someone is robbing convenience stores in Dundalk. Baltimore County police count several in just the past week and think the same person could be behind them all.

On a busy Monday in Dundalk, Foster Wilson stops by his neighborhood Royal Farms as part of his daily routine.

"I come up here to get a newspaper or a couple of sodas. I usually do it once a day.""I come up here to get a newspaper or a couple of sodas. I usually do it once a day," he said.

A habit that he now does with a bit of caution.

Baltimore County police say someone robbed three convenience stores, including Foster's Royal Farms, in the past week.

"They all sound like they were done by the same person the way it went on," Foster said.

Police think so too.

Two of the robberies happened in similar fashion -- early in the morning, where the robber would imply they had a gun, and make off with cash and cigarettes.

A customer tried stopping the crook, but they quickly got away.

"The society is what's frustrating. You know, it's just the way it is. It's normal and that's sad to me, but there's nothing that you can really do about it. It just keeps getting worse," Shannon Gill, a customer, said.

Shoppers say it's the new normal in Dundalk and neighboring cities.

"You can't be scared to live. This is unfortunately the way it is now and you can't be afraid to live your life, but just be cautious to where you are at times and keep and eye out because unfortunately you have to expect the worst," she said.

A sobering reality for Foster.

"I don't care for it, but that's the way the world is today, I guess," he said.

County police say they're working 'good' leads and think they have an idea on who the person robbing the stores may be.

Still, if you can help in any way call police at (410) 887-2214.
