One of three armed robbery suspects died in a police-involved shooting late Monday night in Woodlawn.
The suspect has been identified as 20-year-old Rashad Daquan Opher of the 7900 block of Galloping Circle.
Opher's mother and father declined comment outside their home Tuesday afternoon.
Baltimore County Police believe three men were involved in several armed robberies Monday between 4 p.m. and midnight. During a robbery at a hotel in Woodlawn, one of the suspects hit and injured a clerk with a handgun, police said.
The clerk required medical attention, said Sgt. Andrea Bylen, a police spokesperson.
The last robbery took place at the Royal Farms store in the 6400 block of Windsor Mill Road. Officers spotted Opher running away and began to investigate.
They found a car parked nearby with several people inside, and the officers approached on foot, the car began to accelerate towards them, police said.
Both officers fired at the car, hitting all three suspects inside. The shooting occurred at the intersection of Walnut Street and Englewood Avenue.
"All we heard was 'bam, bam, bam, bam, bam,'" said a woman who wished to be identified only by her first name, Heather. She said one of the men collapsed next to her home.
"It sounded like someone was knocking on the windows," she said.
The two other suspects remain hospitalized. Charges are pending.
No police officers were injured.
The officers have been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.
