Arbutus man arrested after fatally shooting man

Baltimore County Police have arrested and charged an Arbutus man after he fatally shot another man Tuesday evening. 37-year-old Raymond Vladas Armalis Jr. of the 1000 block of S. Beechfield Ave has been charged with 1st and 2nd Degree murder. 

Police were called to the 1000 block of S. Beechfield Ave just before 8 p.m. where they located the victim suffering. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he later died. He has been identified as 46-year-old Charles Edward Watson, Jr. of the 700 block of N. Ashburton St in Baltimore. 

Police believe Mr. Watson was visiting his girlfriend in the area when Armalis arrived at home just beofre 8 p.m. and the two began to argue outside. Armalis went inside to get a gun and came out where he shot the victim at least once in the upper body. 

Police arrived after a neighbor called 911 and were able to take Armalis into custody. 

The victim was rushed to Shock Trauma but later died from his injuries. Police say Armalis is being held at the County Detention Center without bail.
