Parking spot fight turns violent in Baltimore Co.

WHITE MARSH, Md. - A woman ended up in the hospital Friday night after a disagreement over a parking spot at a popular Baltimore County shopping center took a dangerous turn, police said.

Police were called to the Avenue at White Marsh around 8:25 p.m. Friday for a report of a fight. Three minutes later another call came in for a person hit by a car.

When officers arrived at the scene they found a woman lying in the parking lot screaming.

Police say a preliminary investigation found that the female passenger in a Volkswagen got into an argument over a parking space with the female driver of an Oldsmobile. The woman driving the Oldsmobile was reportedly upset because she thought the Volkswagen had stolen her parking spot.

During the argument the woman driving the Oldsmobile punched the passenger of the Volkswagen in the face. She then got back in her car and drove it at the Volkswagen passenger—pinning her between two cars. A witness who was taking down the Oldmobile's information was also hit.

The Volkswagen passenger was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Brandy Tennille Ames, 35, of the 600 block of Harr Park Court, 21040, was arrested at her home Monday at 7:30 a.m. She is charged with one count of first degree assault, two counts of second degree assault, and related traffic charges in connection to the incident.

Ames is currently being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on a $1 million bond.
