An Owings Mills man is fighting for his life after being stabbed by his girlfriend early Saturday morning.
Police responded to an apartment in the unit block of Hartley Court around 3:25 a.m. after the suspect called 911 seeking help.
Police say that it started as a verbal argument between a boyfriend and girlfriend that quickly escalated into physical violence, which ended when the girlfriend picked up a knife and stabbed her boyfriend multiple times in the upper body. She called 911 and the victim, a 37 year old man, was taken to an area hospital for treatment. He is currently in critical condition.
The suspect, a 33 year old woman, was immediately taken into custody.
This incident is currently being investigated by the Baltimore County Police Violent Crimes Unit.
