TOWSON, Md. (WMAR) -
A Gwynn Oak man previously convicted of a Baltimore City murder has been sentenced to life in prison for a 2008 Baltimore County murder.
Antoine Reed Jr., was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the first degree murder of Milton Barnes. Reed was convicted by a jury in August.
Milton Barnes was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the heat on June 24, 2008 at the management office of the Hunter's Crossing Apartments in the 6300 block of Monika Place in Woodlawn.
Barnes was the manager at the complex and was having difficulties with an employee. Reed was the boyfriend of that employee.
Reed confronted Barnes that morning and shot him.
Reed had previously been convicted in 1995 of second degree murder in Baltimore City and sentenced to twelve and a half years in prison. He had been released in 2004.
He was also convicted of distribution of cocaine in federal court in 2010 and is currently serving 10 years on federal prison.
