Man connected to Lansdowne stabbing, barricade surrenders to police

LANSDOWNE, Md. - A 28-year-old man turned himself into Baltimore County police four days after being linked to an alleged stabbing that set off a barricade situation in Lansdowne.

Rony Leonel Deleon had been wanted by police on charges stemming from an Aug. 27 incident in the 3000 block of Bero Road that left a man injured. The tactical team was called in to safely clear the house when police believed that the suspect was inside. When the tactical team entered the home, there was no one inside.

Police added that a woman linked to the incident who investigators were concerned about accompanied Deleon when he surrendered to police on Aug. 31. Damaris Noemi Chavez-Calderon told police that she had willingly been with Deleon and wanted police to know she was OK.

The investigation into the August 27 incident had indicated that the Rony Leonel Deleon-Bartolon stabbed the victim during an altercation in the Bero Road home.

Deleon is charged with first-degree assault and related charges. He is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on $50,000 bail.
