PARKVILLE, Md. (WMAR) -
Police have charged Robert Cleary, 30, after they say he had an antique rifle on school grounds.
Cleary allegedly arranged to meet a friend at the intersection of Ardmore Avenue and Rader Avenue so that he could get a ride to a pawn shop. Cleary cut across Villa Cresta Elementary School property while carrying an antique rifle.
Cleary pawned the Civil War era rifle at a nearby pawn shop and it has since been recovered by police.
Cleary has been charged with disturbing school operations, possessing a dangerous weapon on school grounds and trespassing on school grounds.
