Gates stolen from Battle Acre Monument Park in Dundalk

DUNDALK, Md. - Baltimore County Police are looking for information about the recent theft of the historic wrought iron gates at the entrance of Battle Acre Monument Park in Dundalk.

Police responded at about noon Tuesday to the park, located in the 3100 block of North Point Road, for a report of a theft.The project manager for restoration of the park told police that the two gates for the park entrance were inside the property on June 25; the last time he was at the park. A contractor discovered the gates missing on June 30.

Neighbors interviewed by police said they did not see anyone taking the gates.

Officers have provided local scrap metal firms with a photo of the gates and asked them to notify police if the gates are found.
