TOWSON, Md. - He doesn't display a gun or a knife, but Baltimore County police are searching for a bank robber armed with something that's potentially just as deadly.
The man has struck four banks in the last month, including the Bay Bank on East Joppa
Road, displaying a note to the teller that implies he has Aids.
"We don't have any reason to believe or not believe that he actually has Aids. Maybe (it's) just a threat, but this is a case that our detectives are continuing to work very actively," said Elise Armacost
with the Baltimore County Police Department.
In addition to the Bay Bank, the man also hit the Suntrust
Bank on Harford
Road and the TD Bank on Eastern Boulevard last week.
He also struck a Suntrust
on Orville Road almost a month ago.
