Baltimore County Police have arrested and charged a 29-year-old woman with the stabbing death of her mother at the Eastpoint Mall in Dundalk.

Police were called to Eastpoint Mall Saturday afternoon where they discovered the body of an elderly woman inside a covered parking area near the mall administrative office entrance.

The woman was transported to Bayview Hospital where she was confirmed dead.

She was later identified as 60-year-old Malia Delores Wagner of the 400 block of 52nd Street. Her daughter, Crystal Marie Wagner of the same address, has been charged with one count of first-degree murder and is being held at the Detention Center without bail.

Police believe the mother and daughter were walking out of the mall into the covered parking area, near the J.C. Penney store when Crystal attacked her mother, stabbing her several times with a knife. The suspect than jumped into the car and fled the area leaving her mother on the parking lot.

Police say the motive is unclear at this time.

Police said Monday that Wagner was suspected of assaulting her husband last October in a home in the 400 block of Scarsdale Road.

The victim, 31, was found at another home in the neighborhood suffering from knife wounds to his neck. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Police said an investigation indicated the man was sleeping at the location when his wife began to stab him in the neck with a large kitchen knife.

Wagner, was located and taken into custody. She was taken to an area hospital for treatment of injuries to her hands.

Wagner claimed that the victim was abusive, while the victim told police that Wagner had emotional challenges.
