A man was shot to death outside his home in Dundalk Thursday.

The shattered glass, a large pool of blood and a bullet hole at the base of the front storm door are all evidence of an apparent ambush on Isadore Johnson, which would cost him his life.

A good friend of his, Dave Kuczinski, is angered by his death.

"I think somebody played it sneaky on him... got up close to him and took the coward's way out, instead of being a man and facing him straight up."

Kuczinski says the 43-year old Johnson died from multiple gunshot wounds, but at this point, investigators have no motive, no suspect and no idea if this was personal.

"Our homicide detectives are on the scene investigating and right now they're trying to figure out exactly what happened and whether or not this was a targeted crime," said Cpl. John Wachter of the Baltimore County Police Department.

The only thing certain is that Johnson never had a chance, gunned down in front of his own home leaving those who cared the most for him wondering why.

"Yes, he was a good friend,” Kuczinski said. “He helped out his family... taking care of his niece and nephews.  I don't know.  He didn't deserve that, you know what I mean?"
